NATUROPATHY

Naturopathy is a holistic system of medicine, which takes into account the whole of the individual. Naturopathic practitioners take the time to understand your health and the circumstances that led to your particular health concerns. This is a holistic approach which facilitates long-term health outcomes. Gentle nutritional, herbal, and lifestyle interventions, are employed which aim to address the underlying cause of your health concerns. All of our naturopaths rely on a balance of traditional and up-to-date scientific knowledge to deliver the highest quality of naturopathic care.

NUTRITION

Good nutrition is fundamental to human health by providing the essential building blocks your body needs to build, repair, heal, and maintain health. In addition to fats, carbohydrates, and proteins the food we eat is a complex matrix of health-promoting vitamins, minerals, and a range of phytochemicals. The choices we make about food have profound impacts on our health. Importantly, there is no one-size-fits-all approach. The naturopaths at Whole Health work with each client to determine which dietary practises will promote optimal health, in their unique situation. Paleo, vegan, keto, mediteranean… our practitioners can help to sort the fact from fad.

PSYCHOLOGY

Coming soon!

The mind and the body are intricately connected. Psychologists examine the relationship between our brain and our behaviour and how this intersects with our environment. A psychologist helps to facilitate individuals to draw on their innate strengths in order to work through everyday problems and adversity. Clinical psychologists help people live healthier lives, by applying psychological therapy to help people through a range of mental, emotional, and behavioral conditions.

FAQs

How does an online clinic work?

It’s just like a regular clinic except online! Enjoy the convenience of meeting with your practitioner wherever you are. After you make your appointment, you will receive an email with instructions on how you can meet with your practitioner through our advanced telehealth platform. It’s easy to use, and works through any web browser - just make sure to use a device with a camera and mic connected. Most smartphones or tablets will work just fine!

How are appointments structured?

Initial naturopathic consultations run for 1 hour. During this appointment, your practitioner will take the time to understand your case by asking many questions related to your current and past health concerns. By taking a thorough case history, your practitioner can begin a treatment program that targets the root cause of your illness, rather than only treating your symptoms.

Follow-up appointments are scheduled for up to 30 minutes, where you and your practitioner can have a conversation about your progress, any concerns or difficulties you are experiencing, and a refinement of your treatment plan moving forward.

How often do I need to have an appointment?

This will vary depending on your individual circumstances, Some health conditions require more frequent monitoring, while others require monitoring over a long period of time, which may mean that appointments are set further apart. As a general guide, appointments are usually scheduled 2-6 weeks apart in the initial stages of treatment. As your treatment progresses, appointments are usually less frequent. Your practitioner will discuss the ideal scenario for you and your particular health concerns. Regardless of your practitioners recommendation, you are always in control, and can schedule or change your appointments through your free online account.

How do I fill my script?

We use a number of online dispensaries. Supplements and medicines can be purchased online and shipped to a nominated address. Your practitioner will provide further instructions during your first consultation.

What is your cancellation policy?

Appointments can be changed or cancelled without any penalty up to 12 hours prior to your appointment time. Missed appointments will incur a $30 cancellation fee. An invoice will be sent after the missed appointment, which can be paid with a credit card, via our secure online telehealth platform.
